For people who can’t cook a decent meal, even if their life depended on it, or someone who is always too busy to cook, a simple Cup Ramen has always been somewhat of a lifesaver. Just pour hot boiling water, wait 3 minutes, and your done! Nothing to it; simple and only requires very few brain cells to make. Life can’t be any simpler…….

Well, for those who love Cup Ramen for it simplicity, you’re in for a bit of surprise. Now some people are recommending that instead of hot boiling water, you instead use hot green tea or milk! Yes, Milk! It’s been said that when using milk it makes the Cup Ramen taste a little like corn pottage soup and has the texture of spaghetti soup. The green tea on the other hand, is somewhat bitter but taste very good and is highly recommended.

The author of the Japanese Excite.com post suggest that if you eat Cup Ramen often and you want a little variety, then try the green tea and milk, because it’s simply good. However, rest assure, hot boiling water is still the best so for those people who can’t handle the variety….

To almost every foreigner who has stepped inside Japan, has probably noticed that food portions are very small compared to their home country. This is not a bad thing, in fact you usually come out of a restaurant feeling satisfied instead of behind flat out stuffed like you would in the States.

Many years ago US fast food restaurants had invaded Japan. However, for whatever reason, their portions have remained relatively small. For example, a Big Mac in Japan would be smaller than a Big Mac in the US.

Well, things have changed! Introducing McDonald’s new, Mega Tamago (Egg) and Mega Tomato Burgers for a limited time only (12/12/2007 - 1/10/2008)! Enjoy….
